While it may feel embarrassing to talk about, it's a fact that many women struggle to reach orgasm. At Life Care for Women, a women-led female health and wellness center, we are proud to offer the O-Shot. This noninvasive and efficient treatment for sexual dysfunction can help improve your sex drive, sexual health, and quality and length of orgasms. For more information on how the O-Shot can help you take control of your sexual health, contact our Gilbert, AZ office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Linda Sodoma.

O-Shot PRP treatments performed at Life Care for Women can help reverse a lack of enjoyment during sex. Further benefits of this therapy performed by Dr. Sodoma include:

  • Enhancing sexual sensations
  • Reducing pain during intercourse
  • Achieving orgasms more easily
  • Stronger orgasms
  • Improving vaginal lubrication
  • Bettering urinary incontinence symptoms
  • No surgery or anesthesia

Candidates for the O-Shot are those wanting to enhance their sex life without undergoing a more invasive treatment. The O-Shot may address several complaints, including dryness and trouble reaching climax. Additionally, the O-Shot could be an optimal option for treating incontinence. Through PRP, this groundbreaking option invigorates blood flow and kick-starts new collagen production. Throughout your initial consultation at our Gilbert, AZ practice, our staff can assess whether you would benefit from the O-Shot and if you are well-suited for this procedure.

During your O-Shot treatment, we will take a sample of blood and separate the plasma and growth factors to create a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) serum. This serum will then be injected into a variety of areas in and around your vagina. We do use a topical numbing cream so this should be a relatively comfortable process. The PRP helps revitalize the vagina and can increase sexual arousal, better and more orgasms, and increase natural lubrication.

There is virtually no downtime after this treatment, and you can test it out almost right away. Maintenance treatments may be necessary to maintain your results, but this is something Dr. Sodoma will discuss with you prior to your treatment.

How Long is Recovery After the O-Shot?

After an O-Shot treatment at Life Care for Women, you can expect to resume normal activities the following day. While your body heals from the O-Shot, it might take up to a few weeks before you notice results from your procedure. The good news is many of our patients report an improvement in sexual pleasure, increased lubrication, and the ability to orgasm during intercourse with a partner. Our team will let you know if additional O-Shot treatments are necessary for optimal outcomes.

Best doctor and best staff. They are always available and incredibly knowledgeable. I always recommend them. Incredibly friendly front desk staff as well!

About Us
Does getting the O-Shot hurt?

No, most patients do not find the O-Shot painful. Before we begin, we will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area to help make you comfortable and keep any possible discomfort to a minimum. Afterward, most feel no pain or discomfort and can go back to their normal activities with no restrictions.

Is the O-Shot safe?

Yes, for most patients, the O-Shot is considered very safe and effective. The O-Shot uses your own platelet-rich plasma, so it poses little risk of complications. During your consultation at Life Care For Women, we will review your medical history and current health to ensure you can enjoy the many life-enhancing benefits of the O-Shot.

How quickly do you see results with the O-Shot?

It depends on your health and your body's response to the O-Shot. In general, most patients will begin to see noticeable results within about 2 – 3 weeks that continue to improve over 3 – 4 months as optimal results are typically achieved.

How long will the results of the O-Shot last?

Every patient will experience personal results. Depending on your body's response, on average, you can expect your results to last up to 18 months before a maintenance procedure may be recommended. During your consultation, we will go over expectations and any other concerns you may have.

How long does the O-Shot procedure take?

The entire process, including blood draw and preparation of the PRP, usually takes about 30 – 45 minutes.

Is there any downtime after the O-Shot?

There is generally little to no downtime after the O-Shot, and patients can resume their normal activities immediately. However, it's recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for about 24 – 48 hours after the procedure.
