Am I A Good Candidate for Hormone Therapy?
Hormone replacement therapy is normally provided at Life Care for Women to assist women dealing with low or imbalanced amounts of hormones. Typically, these concerns are widespread among people aged 40 or older and notice alterations in their mood, libido, weight, and brain clarity. These issues may also be seen in women over 50 who have undergone a total hysterectomy. A hormonal imbalance can lead to numerous medical concerns, like sexual dysfunction, thyroid disorders, elevated cholesterol levels, night perspiration, sleeping troubles, and trouble with memory.
How Does Hormone Therapy Work?
During a one-on-one consultation, Dr. Sodoma will review your symptoms, as well as perform a blood test. This will help us determine what hormones are out of balance and how we can best help you. With this information in hand, we can create a custom treatment plan that will help us restore your hormone levels so you can experience overall wellness. Once we establish what hormones are needed, we can insert a tiny bioidentical pellet — about the size of a grain of rice — under your skin. This pellet will slowly release bioidentical hormones, which are created from plant sources and are identical to the natural hormones found in the body. You should notice a difference almost right away, but it can take some time to find just the right dosage for your particular needs.
What Should I Expect Following Hormone Therapy?
Considering that BHRT is a highly customized therapy, it's vital to keep up with any follow-up plans provided by Dr. Sodoma or a skilled team member. Individuals could possibly encounter discomfort, skin breakouts, hair thickening, and moodiness as the body alters to the newfound hormone amounts. During your therapy, our team will keep up with you to supervise your progress. Your dosage level and course of treatment can also be tweaked as required. Many patients see beneficial results from hormone therapy over several days after the beginning of their therapy.
Life Care For Women Reviews
Best doctor and best staff. They are always available and incredibly knowledgeable. I always recommend them. Incredibly friendly front desk staff as well!
Been going to Dr sodoma for many years. Had 3 surgeries with her. She is highly skilled and really listened to me. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I have to share my happy story with everyone about Dr. Linda Sodoma. I started seeing her October 2022 to discuss my female issues. The moment she walked in the examination room I felt a vibe that I knew right then she was the right doctor for me. She was humble nice and caring, she took the time to listen and answer the questions I asked on every visit, it only got better and better and she always made me comfortable. Fast forward to 12/06/22 to my surgery day. God, know I was scared and most definitely afraid of going under, but once my angel walked in ( Dr. Sodoma ) I knew I was gonna be okay and she reassures me. My mom has always told me growing up there always an angel that watching high and low places, in other words high meaning in heaven where she is now and low meaning on earth meaning Dr. Sodoma. I can’t forget to salute her team in her office because they were fabulous on every visit. Post Op see God will send good people your way when asked and needed and today I needed everything good to come my way to get thur this. Post Op I couldn’t ask for a better nurse. Nurse Tanner at Banner Baybrook in Gilbert he helped out more than he will ever know, he kept me calm when it came to getting my IV started, I had told him my veins were small and that it was always hard for anyone who tried to stick me it would be hard so he went and got the ultra sound machine and bang he got it on the first try, and he answered all my questions so thank you Tanner. Next came the recovery room nurse Charm always made sure I was okay when I would wake up or go back to sleep, everytime my eyes opened she was right there feeding me ice chips until the next time I woke up. Thank you nurse Charm. Last but not least nurse Genny, words can’t express how great she was handing me in my room. I didn’t have to ring for nothing because she was always there like she knew my body also when it was time for me to void along with everything else she was as there, so thank you nurse Genny. God really do answer prayers and today all mine were met. I had to post a review to let everyone know how marvelous Dr. Sodoma and team treated me today like other days. Thanks for everything Dr. Sodoma your patient Dorcas

About UsHormone Therapy FAQs
What is the cause of imbalanced hormones?
Hormones are organic messengers that help with promoting your body's operations. A variety of reasons may lead to an imbalance in your hormone levels.
How can you tell if your hormones are off?
Many factors might cause a disparity in your hormone amounts. Among these are being older, lifestyle changes, ongoing anxiety, medication, menopause, and some medical conditions. Imbalanced hormones also appear differently across biological genders. For example, women might have irregular menstruation, but men have inhibited sexual performance.
What are the long-term benefits of hormone therapy?
Hormone replacement therapy supports the body and brain's journey toward ideal performance. Hormones can enhance your disposition, sleeping patterns, and sexual appetite. They can also offer relief to individuals who are insecure, agitated over, or down about their hormone spikes. The staff at Life Care for Women will give you additional info about this treatment when you come for the initial hormone consultation.
Are BHRT pellets safe?
When administered correctly and under the supervision of a trained healthcare practitioner like Dr. Sodoma, BHRT with pellets is considered safe. However, having regular check-ups and communicating any concerns or symptoms with her and the team at Life Care for Women is essential.
How is BHRT different from traditional hormone replacement therapy?
The main difference is in the hormones used. Other forms of hormone replacement therapy often use synthetic hormones, while BHRT uses hormones that are bioidentical to what your body naturally produces.
Why is pellet therapy preferable to creams or pills?
Pellet therapy offers a steady, consistent release of hormones directly into the bloodstream, reducing the peaks and valleys often associated with creams or pills. Plus, there's no daily regimen to remember or administer.
