What Can I Expect from Scar Treatment?
Prior to your procedure, we will create a unique treatment plan based on the type of scar, its size, location, and appearance. During your procedure, we'll have you rest comfortably in one of our private treatment rooms while we clean your treatment area to remove any dirt, debris, oil, and makeup. To help you stay comfortable during your treatment, we'll apply a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure. Then, we will pass either the Hybrid or Morpheus8 laser handpiece over your treatment area several times. The energy released from the device will penetrate into the skin to remove damaged tissues from deep within the skin. This will result in smoother, softer skin. After your treatment, your skin will likely be red and mildly irritated. This can be eased with a cold compress if necessary. We suggest you avoid direct sunlight in your treatment area for a few days following your treatment. You will likely see results after one treatment; however, multiple sessions may be needed to help you reach your goals.
